I found out that Johnny Hunt, pastor of First Baptist Church in Woodstock, Ga., and president of the Southern Baptist Convention, announced Nov. 23 that he had been diagnosed with prostate cancer and planned to undergo initial treatment in January. A statement released by the church’s executive pastor, Jim Law, said the procedure to remove Hunt’s prostate would be conducted Jan. 7 at Northside Hospital in Atlanta.
I was told by a patient that her brother may seek the new ultrasound surgery to remove his cancerous prostate. This is stated to be a more effective surgery with less bad after effects . She continued to inform me that his doctor would do the surgery in another country where it’s been done for sometime ( in this country it still waits on the FDA) but should be approved soon in the USA. I will continue to pray for Pastor Johnny Hunt and for the wisdom of God to rule all that is done by all part of his care.
