“Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice. Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit. Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee. Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation: and my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness. O Lord, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall shew forth thy praise.” Psalm 51:7-15
” If there ever was a time when you loved Jesus more than you do at this moment, then you’re backslidden.” Adrian Rogers
And
“lukewarmness is the worst form of blasphemy.” G. Campbell Morgan
“… and for my name’s sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted. Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.”Revelation 2:3-5
Abide in Christ with all your love and strength and let Him be your mind and your thoughts will be those of our Fathers will and for His glory. If we in our self have Jesus only as part of our life then we have left our 1st love and we must repent and be clothed in Christ to allow His light to show the path the Father has set before each of us. Don’t just lay there if your joy seems to be fading get up on your knees and open yourself to the presence of His love!
