She called her doctor and reported dizziness and weak due to maybe not eating and he told her to come to the ER for IV and evaluation. He feels if he can get her stable that he will still do surgery at around 10:00am.

There is always the possibility it will not be cancer!

The doctor who set Mom up for surgery told her he was 99% sure she had cancer when a tumor was found after radiographs were done of her colon. Granted the doctor sees hundreds of cases each week but I know people who had tumors in the same place even larger that were not cancer. God already knows this and the outcome of the surgery that will take place Tuesday at 9:45 am. It should take close to 2 hours and she is to spend the first night in ICU and be moved to the surgical ward the next day. Your prayers are welcomed !

Mom met her surgeon last Thursday and he told her not to expect to eat or drink for up to nine days after the surgery. I have been told some go even longer but most are able to eat and drink sooner. It is her hope that they watch her till she wakes up well enough to keep a good airway after the surgery is over due to sleep apnea and no infection sets in. She does take meds. to keep her heart in rhythm and had a history of clots reaching her lungs after prolong stay in the hospital. We want her up and walking as soon as is safe.

Some of you know my Mom found out that she needs to have a thumb sized tumor removed from her colon along with other tissues. Her doctor tells her he could not stage her cancer until then. I asked the Heating and Air man to please get it repaired before she has her surgery incase she needs to stay with us for awhile as she recovers.

As always in such a case , She needs your prayers and I will share any words you may have for her.

DNA transposons without the religious dogma of the evolutionist .

 “DNA transposons, or ‘class II transposable elements’, move from place to place by replicative transposition (that increases the copy number) or by a simple cut-and-paste mechanism. Though in general not as common or in as high a copy number as retroelements, they are still found in most organisms. Examples are the Drosophila P elements, bacterial transposons such as Tn10 and Tn7, the Mu phage, and the ubiquitous mariner/Tc1 superfamily of transposons. The mariner/Tc1 family is the most widespread, being found in most insects, flatworms, nematodes, arthropods, ciliated protozoa, fungi and many vertebrates, including zebra fish, trout and humans. Copy number varies from two copies in Drosophila sechellia, to 17,000 in the horn fly Haematobia irritans, accounting for 1% of the genome. The vast majority of them appear to have been inactivated by multiple mutations. The close homology between mariner/Tc1 elements found in species thought to have diverged 200 million years ago has fueled the hypothesis that these elements can transfer horizontally (that is, not by normal inheritance) between different species, or even different phyla (see below). Again, the evolutionist gets to pick and choose from his smorgasbord of explanations when the data do not fit the evolutionary tree.

Miniature inverted-repeat transposable elements (MITEs)

A recently discovered third class of mobile elements is the miniature inverted-repeat transposable elements (MITEs). They are very small (125–500 bp), and have short terminal inverted repeats. They were first found in plants, but have also been found in nematodes, humans, mosquitoes and zebrafish. They are found in the thousands and tens of thousands per genome, and have been given colorful names (e.g. Tourist, Stowaway, Alien and Bigfoot) to reflect their apparent ability to move about in the genome. Their mechanism of transposition is still unknown, but they appear to be DNA elements that cannot move about on their own (non-autonomous). Though none seem to be presently active, they are believed to have been mobile in the recent past because of the high levels of sequence similarity between elements in a particular family, and the differences in insertion sites seen in closely related species.  MITEs are particularly interesting in terms of generating genetic variation in that they are preferentially associated with genes.

Effects of mobile and repetitive elements on gene expression

Mobile elements and repetitive elements can alter the structure and regulate expression of the genome in several different ways. As described earlier, transposition can disrupt genes by direct insertional mutagenesis and can adversely affect transcription. Many retrotransposons have strong constitutive (always on) promoters that can cause inappropriate expression of downstream genes. If the promoter is in the opposite direction of the gene, RNA complementary to the mRNA of the gene can be made that can act as antisense RNA  that binds up the mRNA, affecting translation.

Recombination between similar DNA strands is a necessary process for repair of DNA breaks and allele  shuffling between homologous chromosomes. But the presence of mobile and repetitive elements in inappropriate positions can result in recombination products that are deleterious, such as translocations , inversions , and other chromosomal rearrangements (Figure 5). For example, it was shown that a widespread chromosomal inversion commonly seen in Drosophila buzzatii is caused by the recombination between two copies of a transposable element in opposite orientations.  There can even be an exchange of DNA between non-homologous chromosomes: such as was seen in maize, in this case mediated by the recombination of one complete and one partial copy of the Ac (Activator) transposable element.

This devotional thought can and does offer a problem with believers and unbelievers here is a solution for those in Christ.

“There is a solution. If you’ve been wronged and bitterness has become so strong that you can almost taste its bile within your mouth, then it’s time to pursue it with a holy vengeance. With the Spirit’s spade, root it out. Draw a circle that takes in those who have wronged you. Forgive them for Christ’s sake!”

For those who live with a dead spirit to Christ there is little else to be offered!

Maybe if we all wish upon a star some alien will bring us the proof we all  need that macroevolution is real . Science was replaced with the religion of time and chance! I’m still waiting for someone to allow me to observe Macroevolution and test it to see that it truly occurred or is about to occur and with out anyone cheating by adding information in an unnatural way since we want to see it brought about by natural selection .

Birds did not evolve from dinosaurs and Archaeopteryx was a true bird!

 One of the funniest things I heard in the last few years was that birds came from the close kin of the Tyrannosaurus rex . Many things of Evolution are just plain funny or just so strange that one must have great faith or very simple to get hooked into that belief system .  Back  to the Tyrannosaur, all  I could see was Big Bird with teeth and tiny forelimbs covered in feathers and a very large rump, huge tail, big hind legs with big feet running to an edge of a cleft and taking a leap into the wild blue flapping those tinny yellow arms with no success.

 I am reading several books this summer and hope to go to a conference that will better my understanding of the growing scientific support of creation and the pending down fall of Macroevolution . I plan to buy “ Evolution: A Theory in Crisis ” a book by a non-creationist  Dr. Michael Denton is reported to be a  clear, balanced, responsible, and scientifically accurate account of the ever-growing crisis in evolutionary circles. This book was published back in 1996 but I just found out about it this week.

In your busy life do you think God has failed you in your efforts to know Him or even to worship Him ?

 What did you bring with you to Worship?  Have you ever gone to church and got through the service then went home not remembering what was preached or sung or prayed about ? Did you come away even more empty than when you went ? Do you go not finding His presence and your prayers not answered ? Are you always busy looking around or talking , listing to an ipod or sending others messages on your phone or reading something else maybe even playing or watching someone playing games in church?

 Do you prepare your heart with prayer before you go to church to worship the Lord?  Have you prayed for the lost before you go?  How about praying that God gives the pastor a special message to reach the very heart of the church including you?  Do you pray for the lost in your family and in your community then ask them to let you pick them up to go with you to church?  Do you pray for His love to fill your heart through out the week and that with this love He will bless you with His wisdom?  Do you ask for His thoughts to be your thoughts?  Do you ask for Him to direct your every step and submit your will completely to His as you seek to please Him by obedient faith?  Have you let Him answer you as you read His holy word often through out each day and ask Him to make you Holy as He is Holy?

 Do you come empty and leave empty or do you bring a heart set apart willing to love and serve a living God and leave abiding in Christ even fuller than when you went? I’m not talking about going empty then get a good feeling as you leave.  I’m talking going to worship in Spirit and Truth and leave the same but even stronger than when you went.

What is real, holy and pure and who do not get it and who comes away thinking all they listen to was foolish ?

“Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and then turn and tear you to pieces.”Matthew 7:6

and

“For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.”1 Corinthians 1:18

How many that set next to you are truly saved and abiding in Christ and how many are dogs and swine tearing up the church making the worship dirty and unfit for the Spirit of God to take pleasure in the worship and bless those who join in with His abiding work in their hearts. How dry and dead are many churches that “are in the world ” today and the worldly are in them !

 “22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.”2 Peter 2
