Jesus is calling for a first century heart in Him to find the true worth of self and others !
To get to this heart believers need to led the way for the rest of the world so in God’s power and strength we can lift the world out of the failed, me first spending that the Humanist religion’s ego spending that was to bring the new world order to utopia .
Proverbs 28
1 The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.
3 A poor man that oppresseth the poor is like a sweeping rain which leaveth no food.
4 They that forsake the law praise the wicked: but such as keep the law contend with them.
5 Evil men understand not judgment: but they that seek the LORD understand all things.
6 Better is the poor that walketh in his uprightness, than he that is perverse in his ways, though he be rich.
Jesus tells us that we must not place our faith in any thing other that Him and any property already belongs to the Father who spoke it all into existence !
Matthew 6
19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.
23 But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!
24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
Mark 12
29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
Jesus also told us that if we have a little we should share with our neighbor and how we do so is the fruit of our lives that separates the sheep of His from the goats that are not !
Matthew 6
31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:
43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.
44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.
46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
How far from this have even the true sheep have stray ? In Him repent from the things that own you and use His resources to reach the ignorant world that needs the touch of Jesus from our hands !

how are you Barry? I am good and I am out of the army. My walk with God needs improvement. Pray for me please. Thanks. What have you been up to?
“Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal”.
I like these quotes: “If you chase two rabbits, you will lose both” “Find beauty in the eternal and the finite, for time is no judge” “Sometimes the journey is more important than the destination, for it entails everything about the destination”. What is a destination without the means in which you use to reach it? Beauty is often as relative as time, sometimes more. I don’t think you can find them in the bible but they are good. Life does require focus though, fighting for two goals has left me more frustrated than anything.
@DarthPatriot - This matches the trouble of the two rabbits as one chase them you will end up picking one over the other to better the odds.
Matthew 6
24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
also when the Rabbits are your thoughts then —-
” A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. ” James 1:8
You are correct that time is no judge for time is created and finite and a end will come to all this creation with His promise of a newly created Earth and Heavens above . Eternal is replaced by Ever Lasting with God being from ever lasting to ever lasting and our soul and spirits existing either with or apart from Him in our created ever lasting state . He is set apart from the fallen state of man ( He is Holy and we are not ) and to Join with Him were He is we must be perfect in our righteousness and holy . None of us can reach this goal in our natural state . He came in the form of His unique son to give us a supernatural way to join to Him . He offers this by His free will as a gift to be received by our free will (no forced love is real love ). The only one who will Judge is this creator God who gave (out of love) a chance to reconnect to Him . The judgement is what one does with this gift (our choice). Beauty in creation is finite as with the time and physical laws He created and He tells us the elements will dissolve by a supernatural heat prior to the new creation .
“What is a destination without the means in which you use to reach it?” YES! This is what abiding in Christ is all about , When one is a true follower of the way they have the Spirit of God directing the path that provides the “means” of the abundant life He promises in return . ” Apart from me you can do nothing ” (nothing to fulfill your spiritual potential) as stated by Jesus . The problem is many (possibly the majority ) of people who claim to be of Christ are not and the few who are are not descipled or taught by doing how to come into a deeper personal relationship with God the Father and God the Son or God the Spirit that lives within the true children of God . He compares our life to a race that requires endurance to remain on the correct path to win by completion of this race Jesus lights that path with the knowledge of God’s will . This is the quality life each were created for and the blessing of His walk with us is worth any hardship we may face in our growth in Him ! The payoff is when we can stand face to face with Him and to see Him with nothing hidden as He sees us .
Even in our frustration knowing and trusting on Him helps in ways one can not explain but can be experienced in a real way and gives Joy in sad times or in good times and Hope when no way can be seen and Love abounds in the face of bitterness of hate and injustice from others .
In His love always praying for His blessing to you and your sister !
The right and left labeling thing isn’t wholly accurate when used, as I believe most people tend to not be any one thing fully. I’ve never been either fully, but these “labels” sometimes help give a quick name for something. It serves a purpose even if the purpose is mildly useful. Like right now, if somebody asked me where I leaned currently, I would have a different answer depending on whether I got the impression that they wanted a real conversation or if they preferred a shallow answer. For the shallow answer I would say to the right. If they wanted a real conversation I would offer them a deeper answer. I might tell them I am deeply concerned about individual rights, mine, and of course everyone else. That nobody has the right to violate the rights of another. This answer can be seen as shallow or strong answer, if they see it as shallow, then I know they are no lover of individual rights. If this comes off as a strong answer to someone, I know they hold individual rights to be very valuable.
