How does His birth and death and sin come together at Christmas ?
As I sit here I have mixed emotions this Christmas . I am so thankful that God put on flesh to come to us to give everlasting life with Him . The Joy He placed in me overcomes both happy and sad times to keep me focus on His gift and His pain to bring it to us if we will only receive it so we can trust on Him for everything. This is the blessing we can share during this season . The sadness I am feeling is the fact that mankind is still experiencing the fall that entered in our reality with sin and separation from God .
As I stated before I understand that there is the Hope that Christ brings but there is also the lost Hope when someone leaves this world without knowing God through Jesus ! There are so many each day that leave this world without receiving His love . They turn their backs on Him and embrace self and their lusts that become their goals and driving force of their materialistic lives . How costly this choice is and how painful it is to say goodby to people you know who leave in this state .
I feel mournful for the lost who still live but I also know that looking to the future without hope is sin for this day has trouble enough and should be met with by faith and not fear . Prayer followed by action of expressing love that He pours into us can generate the Hope we need to face each new day . I need to feed on His word to gather the strength to face all the lost loved ones this season and to pray , pray and pray some more !
When I am discouraged, your presence Lord sees me through. When I am lonely, your presence cheers me up as the Joy you fill in me is made known to me . When I am worried, your presence calms me down. And when I am tempted, your presence will help me out. By your Holy Word Lord God you told me you would never leave me nor forsake me and I trust on you and your word !

I too, feel sorrow at those who reject the message of salvation.
I know so many.
The Word tells us that the endtimes will be full of those who are lovers of themselves…etc…so I guess it is to be expected.
All we can do is pray and love them….pray and love them…

Wow, this has been one crazy year for me…I’m lifting a prayer up for you brother, and your family. This year I have been through things with ministry, yet I have only tasted a bit as just an intern pastor…this has been things I’ve not faced through before but I think it’s been part of His will.
