     Jesus is the only way by which we are justified by faith without the deeds of the law. For by the law is the knowledge of sin and by God’s grace Jesus paid by His blood the just price of that sin !

    Romans 3

     9 What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin;

     10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

     11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.

     12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

     13 Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips:

     14 Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness:

     15 Their feet are swift to shed blood:

     16 Destruction and misery are in their ways:

     17 And the way of peace have they not known:

     18 There is no fear of God before their eyes.

     19 Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.

     20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

     21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;

     22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:

     23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

     24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

     25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

     26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

     27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.

     28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

  • Thank you for sharing this.  ryc:  Thank you!  By the way I did not share this:  About 4 years ago I “happen” to have $20 extra.  I was walking around another discount store.  I noticed the sweetest boy walking with what looked like his grandmother.  At the time (right before Christmas) other children were running around doing the “I want”.  He never asked for anything.  I noticed them leaving after the lady purchasing a pillow.  I walked out and asked her to do me a favor.  I handed the $20 to her and asked her to give that to the boy and make sure he gets himself something for Christmas.  She asked why was I doing that.  Funny, but what I said was, “God told me to”.  I walked off going to my car.  I heard footsteps running on the sidewalk.  It was the little boy.  He looked at me with tears, and said, “Thank you, thank you.”  I wished him a Blessed Merry Christmas and almost ran to the car before I started crying.  I later found out from my husband that same day he had helped out a local homeless man (that wants to live in a tent).  He had purchased him some fruit, bread and sandwich meat. Take Care! Sharon

    DO YOU WORK THIS WEEK?

  • @justhopingnow - My wife’s brother was on the other end of this once. The truck he was driving broke down with a load on it and he walked to a food store to use a phone . He looked rough from, being up for 2 days and crawling under the truck . A mom and a little girl saw him setting on the ground waiting for someone to pick him up and haul the truck in for repairs . The little girl pulled on the mothers clothing and she bent over to listen . Soon after the little girl took some money out of her hand and ran over to him . She handed him the money and said I hope this will help . He looked into her eyes and knew he should take it and thanked her and told her he knew it would . She smiled and ran back to the mom and they left him their felling blessed by their pure love . He felt if he turned them down it would have turn their hearts to care not for those who are in need so he believed to take the money was a safe lesson for all .

    Thanks for the comment ,

  • Hi Barry, I noticed that you are a member of several Christian blogrings. I just put up a post about the concept of the End Times which are mentioned in the Bible and I’m interested to hear people’s opinions. If it’s a subject that interests you, please feel free to stop by and leave a comment. Have a great new year!

  • @UR_MUSE -  Hi Scott, the concept of “the End Times” is a real event for each of us as we die . At that point our everlasting choice is set . God is Holy ! That just means He is set apart and He gave us the law to let us know how far apart from Him we are . It is truly all about Him not about what people think or believe . His truth and His plan does not depend on us but He out of His grace gives us a chance to come to where He is . We can stay where we are ( apart from Him ) or we can join to Him and go where He goes . God is not bound by flesh and does not live in our brain but is Spirit and can quicken our spirit . The death after man rejected God’s authority over him was the death of spirit then the body . The second death spoke of is after the judgement of the lost and God honors our choice to reject Him, His love, His plan, His gift of His unique son ( body of man covering God ) Who bleed and paid the debt to reconnect to God, and the new life that comes from that connection . He honors His perfect creation of free will that gives each a chance to have within us His perfect love . If we reject this chance we embrace the separation by our choice and our pride by not making room in our heart and life for Jesus as our Lord . How can anyone demand anything more from God than for Him to suffer shame, pain, and death as a man then to show God’s power by His overcoming the grave that there is real hope . Hope comes with the measure of faith he places in each . Every person has enough faith ( potential energy ) to overcome their pride and experiment by calling on Jesus to led them on the path God would have them take to unite with Him . God the Spirit can point you to truth if you only ask in a real way . You do not have to believe now , you can reject Him if you like but when He remembers you are not part of Him at your death you will have everlasting to remember that it was your choice not to be with Him . The Bible tells us that there are many antichrists that they were alive even during the 1st century church . If you reject Him you join the ranks and that is enough to get your own way . I hope and pray you will join Christ in being a follower of The Way . You control your end time but you only have a short time to receive His gift !

    Barry
